Old Steel Chair, Beautiful New Coating!

This is why when someone brings us an item to powder coat and they say it’s clean;

we just smile and do what we do.

Experience is everything…40 year old chair, 40 year old brazing…tells me that there was a ton of flux paste used in those joints.

Did a pre-bake to see what would ooze out. Low and behold, three welds wept flux out of them.

Glad I listened to my gut and took the long road, this would have ruined what turned out to be a beautiful powder job!
